About GHRP-6
GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Hexapeptide-6) is a first-generation synthetic peptide in the growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) family. Unlike GHRH (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone), GHRP-6 operates through the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). By binding to this receptor in the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus, it vigorously stimulates a dose-dependent release of endogenous growth hormone while simultaneously suppressing somatostatin, a hormone that inhibits GH release.
